"Rocky in the Rockies"

Films: Alien Showdown: The Day the Wild West Stood Still (2018)

Alias: The Scout, the Greys

Type: Alien

Location: Forest/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Ranges from that of children to that of an average human.

Affiliation: Good (Greys), Evil (Scout)

Summary: At this point, you might be thinking that cowboys aren't exactly the best when it comes to movie sci-fi. It seems that their inclusion curses movies to be seen as mediocre at best. Well, sadly, the trend has not been bucked. If anything, it's where it belongs.

History: Apparently, a race of grey aliens act as our world's guardians, but in 1854, they failed us. A scout from a distant planet came to our world that year, crashing into the woodlands of California. His goal was to see if the world had ideal food and water (it did), and send a beacon to the rest of his kind to take over. Only a cowboy imbued with the grey's knowledge can hope to stop him.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: It is revealed that the cowboy was successful in defeating the scout by shooting him point-blank through the mouth. In the present day, a person also imbued with grey knowledge makes sure that the beacon never works again, and gives the cowboy's empowered skeleton a proper burial.

Powers/Abilities: The scout's favorite weapon is a laser gatling gun/grenade launcher. For close-range, a dagger-like curved blade. Its armor is also so durable that not even its own weaponry can penetrate it (the healing factor it has helps too). The greys are telepathic, and can give their knowledge to people through touch.

Weakness: Shoot the soft bits.

Scariness Factor: 4-The greys are weird-looking and at times look like Halloween props, but they are ultimately on our side, and are strangely adorable. The same can definitely not be said about the scout, a brutish Yautja-expy with a burly look and a sadistic disposition. Had this guy crashed near a town, he would have left it a burning heap in an afternoon.

Trivia: -This film was also known as "Alien Predator War" and, hilariously, "American Cowboys vs. Aliens".

-The scout was played by Robert Amstler, a rather strong Austrian actor/stunts man who often gets himself into obscure b-movies like this.
